Halley Assembles Snowman Animation

Small-Butera and Flynn Are Holiday Heroes 4 Hire

Lindsay Small-Butera, one half of the Baman Piderman team, has placed a new holiday animation under our Christmas tree. Its the holiday card from Hero 4 Hire Creative, which she co-directed along with Dan Flynn, and they used Flash for most everything you’ll see, and After Effects for post production. Mike Nordstrom Alex Small-Butera helped on the animation front. You can read more about the production effort over on her tumblr.

Anthony Houde has crafted a toxic holiday short set against a shredding guitar and a cautionary tale for undeserving brats. Houde animated Attack of the Chinese Poison Toys in an isometric format, giving it a unique look and feel.

Here in the ol’ US of A, we’re gearing up for Thursday’s Thanksgiving feast. While we await our belly stuffing, enjoy this Flash-animated Thanksgiving video titled The Pilgrim Song from JibJab. This new Sendables music video was designed and directed by Romney Caswell while Stephen Herczeg, a summer employee from CalArts, handled the character animation. You can replace all of the question-mark-heads with your own photos if you sign up for Sendables over at JibJab, where a subscription is just a buck a month.

Peach Nova Powers Pocket God Fishmas Special

The merry minions at Bolt Creative have delivered a new, Flash-animated holiday short for Christmas….errr, Fishmas. The short emerges from the wildly successful world of Pocket God, which is one of the most downloaded apps on the iPhone. The piece is titled Pocket God Fishmas Special, and it was written by Allan Dye and animated by the fine folks at Peach Nova Productions (Mark Salisbury, Scott Martin and Michael Lennicx).

But it’s actually perfect for just about anyone who wants to create a personalized holiday card. It was created to promote Jones’ new business venture Health Nuts Media, which aims to “create innovative experiences which enable kids and their families to be better informed and live healthier lives.”

Kilogramme Crafts a Christmas Animation

The merry folks at Manchester-based Kilogramme have revealed their ghoul-filled 2010 Christmas card. It was designed, animated and directed by Craig Knowles and David Ridges, who used a combination of Flash, After Effects and 3D Studio Max.
