Flash Animated Super Bowl Spot For MetLife?

Check out this new Flash-animated (I think) Super Bowl spot for MetLife, who happen to own the majority of my house. It was lead by the amazing team at Psyop, but I’ve heard through the grapevine that the gang at Six Point Harness in Hollywood handled the 2D animation on the project. I’ve contacted the 6PH for the scoop, but I haven’t been able to verify this. But if it is in fact true – brilliant work, everyone. Here’s the spot titled Everyone, which includes a whole village of classic animated characters including Peanuts, He-man, Pepé Le Pew, Scooy Doo, Yosemite Sam, Marvin the Martian, Richie Rich and too many others to name.

Goodbye Kitty – don’t go! You have too much to live for. Yes, it’s the end of Goodbye Kitty… season 1. Will there be another season? You’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, check out the big season finale, Kittycide, which I’d argue is the best of the batch. Big ups to the series creator Todd Goldman, writer Greg Grabianski, directors Mike Nassar and John Martinez and the whole gang at Six Point Harness who helped bring this first season to life (and death).

Following his videos for Kyle Kinane, Jackie Kashian and Myq Kaplan, 6PH’s Greg Franklin has created a new short with Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show). Cenac drops us off at Medieval Times, the party place that will apparently soon be serving Funyuns and 40s. The clip was pulled out of Cenac’s performance DVD Wyatt Cenac: Comedy Person, which dropped back in August.

You know when your friend or friends work on something and you really want it to be good so you can honestly tell them you liked it – but it sucks? Well, I don’t have that problem with Good Vibes, the new Flash-animated MTV series that premieres tonight at 10:30/9:30c. My pals at Six Point Harness can be very proud of this show, and I suspect the whole team will enjoy several more seasons and as much success as an animated show on MTV can get (both Downtown and Clone High deserved far more honorable deaths).
