SuperNews Cast Connections

posted by aaron, 7.51 AM

If you’ve been watching the new SuperNews half-hours, you’ve surely noticed that it’s a collection of shorts, and not a linear half-hour. However, the team has cleverly built in some connective tissue, as you can see in this clip below:

This week, SuperNews descends into the dark abyss of Hell, or what locals call Las Vegas. In this lurid, 8-minute tale of high-desert decadance, a thoughtful soul is tempted to Sin City by a knucklehead pal. The resulting storyline plays out in a loose parody of The Divine Comedy, Dante Alighieri’s allegorical poem about the afterlife. However, I suspect that this episode isn’t justifying the “terrorist’s” methods or ideology, but instead poking a hole in our good vs. evil approach to handling these types of conflicts. Or the SuperNews team is a sleeper cell set to ignite a dirty bomb at Sunset and Vine – you decide:

Swine Flu Animation From SuperNews

posted by aaron, 6.15 AM

Swine Flu, know by it’s IM handle H1N1, has caused mass hysteria, pig slaughters and a few dozen deaths. Officials are cautious to call the outbreak a flop, but that’s what it’s starting to look like. As I type from my air-tight, subterranean safe room, I can assure you that driving your car is STILL more dangerous that taking a train, or a plane for that matter (thanks VP Biden).

The guys at SuperNews were quick on the jump, and below is their take on Swine Flu Panic:
