			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://coldhardflash.com/2010/08/smart-looking-dunce-bucket-title-sequence.html">Last year</a> we featured the title sequence from <em>Dunce Bucket</em>, one of the pilots that emerged from the Teletoon Detour Pilot Project.  Below is the first segment from the pilot, titled <em>Chicken Heaven</em>, which was designed by Riccardo Durante and directed by Mark Ackland.  Ackland and Durante also animated the piece. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Now for a short note on persistence.  Of the 60+ interviews I&#8217;ve posted here at ColdHardFlash, my discussion with Joey So and Todd Kauffman was number two.  This was back in 2005, and the twosome were invited by the Canadian network <a href="http://teletoon.com/">Teletoon </a>to produce <em>Sidekick</em>, a short series for their Funpak block.  In Flash, they created 5 shorts, a process well detailed in the <a href="http://coldhardflash.com/2005/02/side-by-sidekick-part-1.html" target="blank">2-part interview</a>.  </p>
<p>Now, 4 years on, <em>Sidekick</em> has been <a href="http://neptoonstudios.blogspot.com/2009/04/6-years-later.html" target="blank">picked up by Cartoon Network</a>.  Persistence has paid off. Congrats guys!  Here&#8217;s a trailer they cut for MIP:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Produced by <a href="http://www.breakthroughfilms.com/" target="blank">Breakthrough Animation</a>, Jetix Europe and <a href="http://teletoon.com/" target="blank">TELETOON</a>, <em>Jimmy Two Shoes</em> was all the buzz at this Fall&#8217;s MIPCOM Junior event, <a href="http://www.animationmagazine.net/article/9060" target="blank">booking the most screenings</a> of any other series. The project, which was created by Edward Kay and <a href="http://tarofish.blogspot.com/2008/11/ok.html" target="blank">Sean Scott</a> (Doodlez), puts Jimmy in Miseryville, the most miserable place on Earth.  Jimmy then annoys the hell out of everyone with his torrent of optimism.  In early 2009, the series will begin on TELETOON and Jetix Europe. I also noticed that <a href="http://www.mercuryfilmworks.com/news.aspx" target="blank">Mercury Filmworks</a> is on the team.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here in LA, it was 95 degrees this weekend, so it feels odd to be writing this&#8230; but a new Christmas movie will soon debut on TV. <em>The Side Show Christmas</em>, a 44-minute Flash-animated special, will air on the French TELETOON network at 5pm EST on December 7th, and then in English on <a href="http://www.teletoon.com" target="blank">TELETOON</a> on December 12th.  <a href="http://timtyler.wordpress.com/category/side-show-christmas/" target="blank">Tim Tyler&#8217;s</a> Saskatchewan-based <a href="http://www.cheshiresmile.com/" target="blank">Cheshire Smile Animation</a> partnered up with <a href="http://www.studiobproductions.com/" target="blank">Studio B Productions</a> to create this film about &#8220;a side show owner who kidnaps Santa in a wild scheme to save the family business.&#8221; Here&#8217;s a promotional clip from the project&#8230;</p>
