Animator vs Bunny in Run Bunny Run

Vincent, a 25-year old animator living in China, has released a new Flash animated episode in his KungFu Bunny series called Run Bunny Run. The film mixes stop-motion photography with Flash animation, and pays homage to Max Fleischer’s 1919 Out of the Inkwell series in which the animator interacts with the animation. Chuck Jones followed suit in 1951 with the brilliant short Duck Amuck and more recently Alan Becker got into the act with his Animation vs. Animator series.

Vincent has become a bit of a celebrity back in China. He’s been interviewed on TV about his shorts, and invited to several festivals. The third installment in the KungFu Bunny series is due out soon, and Vincent has already begun promoting it on his website.

Wow, that guys creativity knows no bounds! Very impressed with everything he came up with, AND he’s a good animator as well!
Loved the fact that he did all of this in his room at home. No fancy studio or green screen work, just him lying on a wooden box, clenching his abs to keep himself straight to get his poses. No wires or fancy suits to help him. That’s why I love Flash, you can create quality stuff no matter where your at, or who you are.

The animator, named Vincent, mixed stop-motion animation of his work space, mixed with Flash animation to produce a highly enjoyable result. A few months ago, the third installment of this now wildly popular series has arrived, and Vincent is now producing with a crew of 10, including a producer, a cameraman and an assistant animator.
